My Contract/Policies

We operate a State and City licensed daycare business. We meet state safety, health and nutrition standards. Taking care of children is our choice of professions. We love caring for children, watching them grow and become attached to the other children in care. They are a delight to us.
.

My hours are 7am to 5:30 pm. I don’t mind working with each parent’s schedules. I primarily oversee the daycare Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm. When I am not on site, my daughter is available and we are both licensed providers. If scheduling problems occur, please call me. I run errands, and plan off-site activities based on scheduled arrival times and school bus runs. It is easy to be here if I know when you are going to be dropping off and picking up your child. If you arrive, and I am not here, call me, and I will be happy to tell you where we are, and when we will arrive.

We provide breakfast, lunch and snacks. You do not need to (although you may) bring extra food. If you do bring a snack or treat, make sure there is enough for all the children. No gum or hard candy. They will be taken away, as they are both choking hazards.

I have locked cabinets, safety locks, socket covers, safety gates, smoke detectors/fire extinguishers, and hold fire drills with the kids. The yard is fenced --we keep the gate closed at all times. This is for the safety of your child as well as others in my care. The kids are not allowed outside the fence or outside my front door unless you or I are with them. Please do not have your child go outside the door (not even to your vehicle) without you.

Cleanliness is important to me. Children will be encouraged to wash their hands often. I disinfect plastic toys regularly, toys that are put in mouths, daily. My blankets, pillows and other soft toys are washed weekly.

Utah State Law requires that you provide documentation of your child's immunization and update this record yearly. When you go to the Dr. ask for a copy to bring to me, please
. Every time the State licensor shows up (randomly and unannounced) she checks these records. When they are not up to date, my license is in jeopardy.

Please keep children home if they are throwing up or have a fever. If your child become sick during the day, you will be expected to pick them up. Until you arrive, the sick child will be kept separate from other children.

Medication cannot be administered without written consent. There is a state approved form for this. I cannot give any medication with verbal consent.
Procedure for fire: take all children outside and call 911.
Procedure for earthquake: take children to a safe area (under kitchen table), wait until the earthquake has calmed down, call 911 if needed.
Procedure if power failure in home: use alternative power.

You are contracting for full day or partial slots on a monthly basis. If you choose to take days off or you or your child are unfortunately ill and choose not to attend, there will be no reimbursement for these days.  I look forward to paydays as much as you do. If there is a problem, let me know as soon as possible. I accept checks, and cash. I also have a pay pal account. Checks are accepted until one does not clear, and then it is cash only.
If you decide to remove your child I will  need to have a 4 week written notice from the first day of the month.  If you need to take your child out for illness, vacation time, maternity leave etc. you will need to let me know if it is going to be more than 4 weeks you will be required to pay 1/2 his/her normal monthly rate to hold his/her spot. If I do not receive her/his payment and I have not heard from you that the money is coming I could end of giving his/her spot away to another child love my daycare and all the children in it. I can’t imagine any other kind of work. Your children are wonderful and I enjoy talking with parents. I hope if you have any questions, you feel free to ask and I will do my best to work with you and make your child's experience in my child care a happy one.
